The Verdon Gorge is a river canyon located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in southeastern France. It is about 25 km long and up to 700 meters deep. It was formed by the Verdon River, which got its name from its turquoise-green color, one of the characteristic features of the location.
